Members

The members of the Alvaton Fire Department are a dedicated group of men and women who serve the Alvaton community tirelessly. The members are composed of ordinary men and women who answer a call that most others would never consider. Our members are citizens in the community who serve to help those in need and protect our community.

All of our members are trained to meet the qualifications of the Kentucky 150 Hour certification. This certification is recognized all across the state of Kentucky as meeting the qualifications to be a well trained firefighter.

The majority of our members have earned the international firefighter certification of IFSAC Firefighter 1 or IFSAC Firefighter 2. To gain the knowledge and posses the skills to pass these certification tests, our firefighters put in numerous hours of book and skills training. These skills include knowledge of fire suppression, vehicle extrication, hazardous material incidents, and many more. These firefighters have passed the rigorous written and skills tests to receiving this certification.
