Cat rescue
Mon. Apr 5th 2010

A citizen called and asked if we could help get her son's cat out of a tree. She said her son has been upset because they couldn't get it down. She said the cat had been in the tree for about two days, and they have tried everything with no luck. We got on scene and found the cat was about 50' up and wasn't about to come down. So we brought in Truck 20. Set it up, and with some minor tree trimming, managed to get the bucket close enough, and pulled the cat out of the tree. Put him in a carrier and returned him to the ground. Leiutenant McGrath checked him out, said he was a little dehydrated, but other than that he was fine. The little boy was in tears when he came out to thank us. He gave a few of us some hugs and took a picture with a couple of us. It took about a hour and half or so to get it down.
